We Need Heat!!!

So this is our luck. On Friday night Zach and I went to bed (Lee was working) and I awoke at 4:00 a.m. to find that our furnace went kaputz. It was 52 degrees in our house. I called Lee and then I called my mom to see what I could do, which was nothing, since I don't know anything about furnaces. Four hours later, and it is now 48 degrees, my dad comes over after work and tries to fix it. He got it running but it needs a new part, which we can't get until Monday because no one has it except for a place and Cranberry, which is closed on weekends. We are now at the Schwarz homestead until at least Monday. Here are some pictures I took of Zach in the snow.

Winter Wonderland

Zach had Winter Wonderland at school today. We walked into the common area and all the lights were turned off and white lights were all around the room. Their were blocks of "ice" in a circle with "snow" and more white lights. They had there snowmen decorations up that they had made. All the kids who came to school had to bring their hats, gloves, scarfs, etc... Zach tells me they had a snowball fight and had igloo ice cream for snack. Here is an old picture of Zach in the snow.

Sickness

Zach has been having headaches in the morning and throughout the night. So we took him to the doctor and he has strep throat. I didn't know you could get severe headaches from strep throat and not have a sore throat at all. Does that make sense? So hopefully, with him on medicine, he will start feeling better and we can all get a good night sleep.

Birthday Party

Zach went to a birthday party yesterday for one of his classmates. It was at a karate place, which I thought might not be a great thing for a group of 4/5 year olds. They didn't do karate though, which was probably a good thing. They then went to a restaurant and had pizza. Did you know that your kids could get a time out at a birthday party? I was also surprised that parents just dropped their kids off. A lot of parents did stay though. All in all he had a good time.

Yeah! I was able to add this picture all by myself without help from anybody. I thought I would update our family photo from the previous picture. The Bechdel crew helped set this whole thing up and that was their only picture of us together. Here we are at the Van Buren 4th of July bike parade. Can't wait to do it again!

Welcome to our new web site! Hope you enjoy it. Why two computer illiterate people would start a blog is beyond me, but here it is. I don't know how often we will post stuff because we lead such boring lives. Unless you think Zach and I sitting in PJs all day and playing games is interesting, than you will just love us!
